Kate Bateman (Associate Instructor) is a multi-hyphenate actor, coach, and educator who integrates her experience in performance, physical comedy, human simulation, and somatic modalities into her diverse career. Known for her honesty, organization, and playfulness, she actively engages in meaningful conversations that inspire positive change.

For over a decade, Bateman has supported medical students on their journeys to becoming doctors, serving as both a simulated patient and an educator of simulated patients. She has built a steady career as an actor in film, television, and web series, earning a LEO Award for Best Comedic Actress in The Actress Diaries. Passionate about incorporating trauma-informed practices, such as The Emotional Body, into actors’ toolkits, she believes that understanding emotional effector patterns is a valuable gift for everyone.

Bateman holds a BA and BFA in Acting from the University of Alberta's prestigious acting program. She is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Since 2015, she has collaborated in an all-female and non-binary clown collective, championing play, emotional awareness, and safe educational practices. With her unique blend of skills and passion, Kate is dedicated to fostering creativity and resilience in all her endeavours.
